🐷Steemit's Making Me Fat!! Time to Take Steemit Outdoors! 🐷

We Can't Have a Fat Gym Owner Can We?

Well I'm sure there's lots of reasons for my weight gain. So I can't just blame Steemit. But I have definitely been spending way too much time behind a computer.

It's way too easy to get sedentary and stuck behind a screen these days. And since joining the amazing thing that is Steemit I have been spending a lot more time at my computer writing posts, making videos and reading and commenting on posts.

I've also been ignoring one of my favourite hobbies - Wildlife Photography which I really miss and am eager to get back into.

One of my favourite images

I love this platform so I need to find a way to stay highly active while also creating content. So it's time to take Steemit on the road! I'll be making every effort to show you:

  • My journey to being less fat through cycling and other outdoor exercise
  • My wildlife photography adventures
  • My journeys around this great country of ours, and later this year Peru!

Naturally I'll still be posting my weekly beer review for #BeerSaturday however I'll need to wind back on the drinking a little. I suspect it may be my love of beer that is also contributing to my ever expanding waistline.

Has your Steemit addiction changed your health? Tell me in the comments!

Do you have a garden?

Not much of one.

and the beer :)

Absolutely, two nights a week where beer is allowed from here on. :(

For sure, it isn't just Steemit that causes more time sitting on one's behind, but it doesn't help. I think we had this conversation before, but I now limit myself to a fixed amount of time spent on Steemit. Both physically and mentally, it made sense to ratchet down the hours I was dedicating here.

Now, in addition to being more efficient, I'm better balanced in my activities and interest. But yes, I have less SP than I otherwise may have. I'll catch up... lol

It is a smart approach. And I do spend way too much time on Steemit and DTube. It's incredibly addictive. I'll learn to manage my time here one day.

Taking a ride with a scooter/moto does it count as sport? ;)

Can you do push ups on your scooter while you ride? :P

Well, I completely agree with you 300%, and this was a good reminder post. Go do the @aussieninja challenge this month maybe? That’s my first step in fighting work and steemit dormancy. I’m going to attack it seriously this weekend. You can join Team Green on the bike and post your cool cycling adventures? I’ll read with interest. :)

Then you can shame @jackmiller and do an extra 50 for his lazy non moving backside and send him pics of your trim terrific steemit self.

One of us... one of us... one of us... one of us!

Tell me more about your challenge, sir.

What's the @aussieninja challenge? I can't see it on the ninja's page.

Yeah, it's this guy... I need to do an update but I was just waiting on some artwork to make it jazzy...

Do you own a gym also?

I am keen on starting a gym but I'm not sure if it would be too time consuming.

Sure do mate. It's very time consuming. If it was a basic 24/7 gym then it wouldn't be very challenging. Mine's quite a beast to operate though.

I wouldn't really recommend it as a business, unless you totally love it though. It becomes your life.

Have you not seen the size of me lol I'd like a simple 24/7 gym though.

You have to really want to work with people to get into this industry. If you love helping people then it can be really rewarding. So it becomes a lot more about working with and helping people rather than exercise.

I've had people in tears while talking about their fitness, and even people with severe mental health issues coming to me and asking for help. It can be a real challenge, but very rewarding as well.
