First week of October: fitness update
After the poor show I put in last month, this months #fitnessgoals have started with a bang and I'm hoping to keep it going ALL month.
So I set myself 3 main targets:
1 X 6mile run
2 X 8mile run
Lose 7lb
This week I managed to get 3 runs under my belt. A 3, a 2 and an 8 miler.
I also had an "unofficial" #fitnessgoals where I wanted to get my shorter distances time down to around 9min/mile. I managed to get my first two runs down to 8:35min/mile. So I'm happy with how I've started, let's hope I can keep that up.
I finished the week with a very gentle 8mile jog. I say gentle, what I mean is.... I went off like a rocket and died at around mile 4,so my average minute per mile time was slow. But at least I got the first of my 8 mile jogs out of the way.
I hope the weather holds out for you, being cooler will be a benefit but if it rains loads then that is no fun at all.
8 Miles is impressive at any pace - I don't think I could walk 8 miles!
