The Desert Flower, or Desert Rose, is a plant native to tropical Africa. This means that, in addition to not resisting the cold and much less frost, its growing season lasts almost all year. Only during the driest and hottest weeks does it pass so badly that, in order to survive, it lets its leaves fall, produces large and beautiful trumpet-shaped flowers during the spring and, especially in summer, it is highly recommended to plant it in the pomice, sand river or similar to decrease the risk of decay.
