My garden flowers - Celosia
A few months ago my aunt gave me seeds of Celosia flower to plant in my garden, she is the most devoted and faithful lover with her plants.
Thanks to those seeds today I can have in my garden these wonderful flowers better known as "Velvet Flower"
It is very remarkable in various parts of the world with different names and meanings according to the culture such as:
- "Lakes spinach" or Velvet Flower in Mexico, South America, tropical Africa and Asia.
- 'soko yokoto' which means "make your husband fat and happy" in Nigeria.
- "Cresta de gallo" in Spain, Mexico and Guatemala.
The celosia plant is one of the main vegetables, cereal, they are usually stewed with their stems, their leaves have a mild spinach flavor, they are used as an accompaniment to dishes that have pepper, spicy, garlic and lemon, some Lattice species are used for medicinal purposes to calm ailments.
These flowers can be seen in different colors, in my case it is Celosia Argentea pink and violet, they have reproduced quickly since they produce abundant seeds.
Go ahead and plant them! Besides being beautiful, it has many beneficial properties for everyone.
