Places of terror

Hello, friends of @adsactly

In our daily lives, as well as in literature, when we refer to man's living spaces, we tend to believe that closed spaces, unlike open spaces, can provide us with shelter, protection, security. A person who wanders in the darkness will surely feel the need to reach a safe place, that is, a space with a ceiling and walls, that makes him feel sheltered. In a previous post, I commented that some houses may be haunted and inhabited by spirits, who remain in these properties and do not allow them to be occupied by other people. In this case, we observe how a space that in principle should have kept its inhabitants safe becomes a danger from which they must move away, leave. Today we will talk about other spaces like this one.

In a famous school in San Juan de los Morros, every afternoon, you hear the noise of a group of boys playing in the schoolyard. The people who have stayed late inside the classrooms, hear how a breeze brings the sound of a child's hustle and bustle, with laughter, shouts and footsteps. At first it was said that those were the souls of children who studied in that school, but who are already dead. However, the last thing that has been said has left more than one with bristly hairs. One of the teachers of the school has stayed until night and has realized that it is not children's souls running and screaming in the central courtyard, but old people with children's voices, hidden behind the pillars and trees, as if lurking, waiting. The theory is that it is the way these evil spirits trap childish souls, whom they surely invite to play and then take away. Needless to say, in this school they never teach in the afternoons and the children are very afraid to go out for recess.

Another spooky place is a church in San Rafael, near Ospino. The current priest of this church has to live outside of it, and like him, all the priests that this church has had. It is said that the first priest went mad overnight, as did the second and third priests. Then, those who came, managed to discover the reason for this madness. According to this church, at night you can hear the seats rolling, the doors closing and opening, and even the bells ringing. The priests have tried to drive away or frighten away these evil spirits, but they have said that they are many and some very powerful. That is why the priests have chosen to sleep in a little house that the people built outside the church. People say that sleeping in a cemetery is not as dangerous as sleeping in churches. It is supposed that when you bury a person in the cemetery, what you bury is their body. Instead, when you take her to church, her soul stays there. So churches are filled with spirits wandering around waiting for their salvation or for other spirits.

Like churches or schools, another of the places where stories of grieving souls abound are hospitals. It is said that most health centers keep stories about souls appearing and disappearing in the middle of the night. At one point, a friend told me about a frightening event that took place at the hospital in Cagua. At one point, as a result of a road accident, she had to spend two days in a hospital. The first night, she saw that in the middle of the darkness, a nurse entered the room and asked for Victor Rodriguez. The three women who were confined in the room told her that there was no one there by that name and the nurse apologized and left. The next morning, they were surprised to hear a cry coming from the corridor. Curiously, the women asked a nurse, who was administering medication, what was going on. The nurse told them that a man named Victor Rodriguez was dead. The women were surprised and told him that in the early morning a nurse had passed by asking for this man. Alive and fearful, the woman said that this was the ghost of a nurse passing by looking for the spirit of the people who were going to die.

My friend and the other women couldn't believe it. But that same night, at the same time, the same nurse passed by again asking for a certain Mireya Díaz. My friend left the next morning and she says she listened as she went out as a doctor told a group of people in the hallway waiting: Are you Mireya Díaz's relatives? I'm sorry. She just died!

Like these spaces, I imagine there are others where ghosts remain hidden and waiting for possible victims. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Remember to vote for @adsactly as a witness and join our server in discord. See you next time with a smile. ;)

Very interesting post! Old places and buildings that are not occupied are always terriable

Fascinating post, @nancybriti
Haunted places are an endless source for theories and speculation s that make the most skeptical of us think it twice before totally disregarding the validity of the mystery.

Having grown up in a rural town, Yaguaraparo, State of Sucre, Venezuela, I know everything that can be said about ghosts and apparitions. We were breastfed with stories of gore and fear; inexplicable phenomena that were supposed to make us more sensitive about life and death.
It was always clear to us that there was not only life after death, but also some sort of in-between life after death.

Of course, as you grow up and leave your town and get an education, you are supposed to stop thinking like a child and believing childish stories.

One of the most impressive things for me about the time I spent in the USA was that all the stereotypes we had about ghost stories belonging to the realm of ignorance and third-world mentality was not so true.

First-world mentality had also room for ghosts and the supernatural. In fact, I’d say they have more room.
I met a great guy in Grad School at Ohio University, John Kachuba. He is the author of many books of fiction and non-fiction. Some of his books are precisely about haunted places. He started a series called Ghosthunting+state. I returned home when he had Ohio and Illinois covered. Not sure how many more states he’s written about.

The fascinating thing about these stories is that there are so many people who truly believe in them. John was very skeptical about the supernatural and he confesses in his books that he never witnessed anything that can be categorically taken as a ghost manifestation, but he did experience the eeriness in these places and he ends up giving some credit to the stories.

The library of Illinois State University at Normal, Milner Library, is said to be haunted by the ghost of its first librarian, Ange Milner (1890-1928). I studied hundreds of nights in that place and never experienced anything strange, but I met students and faculty who swear they had close encounters with Mrs. Milner.

Excellent data, @hlezama. Anglo-Saxon culture, especially with its films, has reinforced many of the ghostly and supernatural legends, and hence our fears. At La UDO, our university, there is also the belief that the ghost of a woman comes out in the Science department. Although I imagine that now what should come out most in Venezuelan universities are ghosts. Thank you for commenting. Hugs

It would be funny if it weren't so true.
There will be ghosts indeed, especially after the cases of peple who were killed in campus.
Big hug

Perhaps I say one obvious thing: I believe that places of terror are as real as our fears, which are generated and nurtured in our psyche. And thank God, because if we didn't live in a fairly flat world for "safe" and "truthful" reasons; how would there be a large part of human fantasy? Probably, next to us, in our own houses live those ghosts that will accompany us all our lives. Thank you for your entertaining post, @nancybriti.

Yeah. I think so, too, @josemalavem. Many of those beliefs are reinforced by our own natural fears. Man fears what he doesn't know, and thank God, he doesn't know everything. In the end, perhaps, there are many spirits in our environment that we do not perceive. Greetings and hugs.

A chilling publication, @nancybriti. These testimonies realize that there may be souls in sorrow and that some people may perceive them. I don't want to be one of them again, I have enough with my story with the elf when I was a child, hahaha. Thank you for this ghostly publication, @nancybriti. Thanks to @adsactly for spreading it.

I believe that many of those souls who may wander on this plane after death have had tragic deaths or are spirits who have a purpose. The idea is to respect their space, not to play with them and especially not to make fun of their existence. Hugs, @aurodivys.

interesting Post

Old places that are not occupied or ancient buildings are usually a scary place at night. Even during the daytime if we walk alone we can feel a magical aura that doesn't know its origin. We feel that we are being watched by someone from one place.
old hospitals, school buildings and relic factories were a favorite place for spirits or genies who really liked living there. Especially if there had been an incident that caused death in the past would be a disguise for jinns and spirits who could not return to their nature so that he would always roam.
there are times when he will disturb or tempt people who try to enter their territory. there is also something that is actually asking for help to be saved or perfected by his death.
Often things like this show their existence
They will appear as shadows that flash or enter into the dreams of those they want. that's when it can be a terror for someone. A terrible figure as a person who died due to an accident, fire or other incident left a frightening aura.
however, if we can calmly face then we will be able to overcome it. The problem is that when we see apparitions in old buildings we feel fear and panic and lose our common sense.

Thank you @nancbyriti
Thank you @adsactly
Thank you Steemit
Warm regard from Indonesia

According to you, @rokhani. The idea is to keep calm and especially to entrust yourself to God. Maybe praying will make the evil spirits go away. Greetings
