Hello friends of steemit I hope you are well, lately I have seen in my search on the Internet many recipes with lentils, but I call my attention lentil burger, I would say that it is the meat for the hamburger but much healthier.

Lentils are a food that can not be absent in our diets, because it is rich in vegetable proteins and carbohydrates that provide us with energy, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C and E, minerals, folic acid, fiber and antioxidants. .

Lentil burgers are a rich and different way to introduce lentils to our diet, they are very easy to make, you need few ingredients and you can also freeze them and always keep them in the freezer to prepare fast and nutritious meals.

This recipe is recommended for both vegans and vegetarians.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked lentils.
  • 1 onion.
  • 2 Cloves of garlic.
  • 1 Carrot.
  • 1 Branch of Celery.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder.
  • 1 pinch of salt.
  • 1 Pinch of pepper.
  • 1 Tablespoon of oil.
  • 6 Tablespoons of bread crumbs.

Preparation:

Finely chop the onion, garlic, celery and carrot, heat a little oil in a pan and prepare a sauce with the vegetables cooking until it is ready stirring occasionally, put in the blender lentils, sofrito, cumin, salt and pepper. We crush everything until obtaining a homogeneous mixture, we pass the mixture to a bowl and add little by little several tablespoons of breadcrumbs stirring until there is a mass of compact and sticky lentil patties, forms the lentil and vegetable burgers with the hands, heats a greased pan and cook the lentil burgers on both sides until golden brown.

Tip: You can also cook lentil burgers baked at 180 degrees for about half an hour.

Serve vegan lentil burgers on a plate with vegetables, rice or pasta, or traditionally on hamburger bun with salad and your favorite sauce.
