Ulog #51: Chinese Mainland Potato & Beef Dish
Another day of lunch at 'KungFu Ramen' - a Chinese Mainland cuisine restaurant.
So my last post was on the noodles there which they are famous for but today I wanted to try out their other dishes as well and I picked a rice dish.
It wasn't as good as their hand-pulled noodles but it was good too.
I had a dish with potatoes and tender beef with rice. It had some vegetables and onions too and a gravy/sauce that had sichuan peppercorns as you could feel the numbing affect of the peppercorns after tasting them.
The sauce was delicious and I wish I had more on the plate for my rice to soak up all it's goodness. The beef was tender too and I also wished there were more slices. But in recession period, this is what you get for what you paid for.
I still prefer another place nearby my area that serves this same dish however that place's doesn't have noodle soups as here.
So from now on if I'm wanting rice, I'll go for the other place and if noodles this place. Gotta always try out more than one thing and you'll know where to get the best food around.
