Ulog #92: Chilli Cheeseburger (DOUBLE DELUXE)
Hope everyone had a good weekend and rejuvenated for the week ahead.
I had a regular customer that ordered a custom burger last week. It's basically a chilli cheeseburger but double pattied and double cheesed!
I noticed that custom orders like this normally come from the regulars as they are accustomed to the taste of our burgers and are more adventurous in trying out more extravagant versions of our burgers.
I think this is so much meat that it'll definitely fill you up to the brim.
The chilli gravy that I serve is without beans. Purpose is to get as much meaty flavor as possible with every bite. I also put some Indian spices like cumin and a curry powder blend as well as a hint of smoke paprika.
The red bits are canned tomatoes that are addded, giving it more body, sweetness and slight acidity. Smother this on top of a good old fashion cheeseburger and you got yourself a meal.
All of this goodness is sandwiched between wholemeal sesame buns that will really surprise you why people don't use these buns more often. Not all that appealing to the look or in a picture but man is it a perfect burger bun.
