A Witch in the Kitchen: "Delicious Red Bean and Meat Chili"

Hello Dear Witches...!

Three consecutive days of rain have not allowed me to go to the market to stock my pantry, so yesterday Friday I had to prepare dinner basically with what was left in the fridge, I think I have become an expert doing magic with what little is left at home hahaha, half a kilo of red beans, a quarter of a kilo of minced meat and some vegetables were those who accompanied me for this recipe.



The idea of a chili con carne has been on my mind for days, and although I didn't have all the ingredients, I encouraged myself to try to emulate it and the result was delicious, I would only have added a little more meat, but the truth is that it was a comforting and delicious meal, just what we needed to warm the body after so much rain.



The perfect combination of flavors, the right touch of sweet, spicy and salty, a fairly easy and quick preparation, which can well get us out of a hurry for a good dinner or a nice lunch. Come with me and I'll show you how easy it is to prepare this delicious recipe. <Enjoy! .


Ingredients


  • 500 gr of cooked red beans.
  • 250 gr of minced meat.
  • 1 Carrot finely chopped medal.
  • 1 Jalapeño finely chopped.
  • 2 finely chopped peppers.
  • 1 Medium finely chopped onion.
  • 1/4 Finely chopped paprika.
  • 1 Cup of tomato sauce or 1 can of liquefied tomatoes.
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp common salt.
  • 1 tsp ground cumin.
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper.
  • 1 Tbsp of sugar.

    • Difficulty Level: Low
    • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
    • Baking time: 30 Minutes
    • Yield: 10 Rations


    • To begin we season the meat, for this we mix the spices, and add half to the meat, we continue sealing the meat in a pot to which we add the spoonful of sugar and caramelize, in this way we will obtain a beautiful golden color in our meat.



      Continue adding the onion, jalapeños, garlic, chilies and paprika finely chopped, and stir, until crystallize the onion, to continue adding tomato sauce, put a cup of water and let cook over high heat for about 5 minutes.



      After this time, add the beans and the chopped carrot, if necessary add one more cup of water, add the rest of the spices, stir, cover and let cook for another 20 minutes over medium heat. Turn off and let stand to serve.



      On this occasion, accompany this delicious chili con carne with some delicious fried slices of ripe banana, white cheese and a little bread. It was just what I was looking for to warm up the body, my father was satisfied because all these kinds of preparations he loves, and even more when they have the right touch of spicy.
