A Witch in the Kitchen: "Marmalade Stuffed Cookies // Newtons Style"

Hello Dear Witches...!

I recently shared with you a recipe to prepare Guava jam, which besides being very easy to make is delicious, ideal for filling breads, and it occurred to me to make with it some delicious cookies Newtons style, which I remember were my favorite when I studied at university, were the ideal companions for a good afternoon of studies.



This besides being a very delicious recipe is really simple and with few ingredients, which are also easy to get, and the best of all that are done in a very short time, is productive, and you can make it in the company of the smallest of the house, as to spend time with family sharing.



But since not everything is good in this life, the only thing bad about these cookies is that they end very quickly hahaha, but come with me and I'll tell you how you can make them at home. District!

Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose wheat flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 Cup of margarine
  • 1/2 tsp Sodium Bicarbonate
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 300 guava jam




Preparation

  • Baking time: 20 Minutes
  • Total Time: 40 Minutes
  • Yield: 50 Biscuits


To begin, place the butter in a bowl at room temperature, with the sugar and with the help of a beating balloon, mix everything very well until forming a cream. Add the whole eggs and continue beating until very well integrated, to add the vanilla without stopping beating.



We continue adding the whole milk without stopping beating, so that the preparation is not cut, and with the help of a sieve we are integrating the wheat flour that we have previously mixed with the sodium bicarbonate, the ideal is to do it little by little, and once you see that you can not continue mixing with balloon use your hands to finish integrating, you can pass this dough to a table and knead it for about 10 minutes, until you get a soft and elastic mass.



Once finished kneading, divide the dough into two parts and form a long cylinder with each of the parts, approximately 3 centimeters wide. With the help of a roller we stretch each cylinder until obtaining a sheet of 5 millimeters of thickness, with the help of a palette or spoon, we spread the jam in the middle of the sheet and along the same one.



We cover the jam with the dough that we have of side and side, with care we turn it, so that the fold is downwards, and with the help of a knife we cut in portions of approximately 3 centimeters long. Place the biscuits on a buttered tray, leaving a couple of centimetres between them, and take them to a preheated oven at 180 °C for 20 minutes or until they are golden on the bottom.



Delicious with a good glass of cold milk, or a rich cup of coffee, to offer to the snacks of the youngest of the house, and why not to the older too. And you, what would you accompany them with?
