If you want to feel like royalty, just have one of these. It will will boost your ego to heights never seen before! :P Just kidding.

My partner made another King's Cake yesterday. It was better than the one on Sunday. She used another recipe. Plus, we ate it soon after coming out of the oven, rather than eat it hours later when it had cooled down.

Warm baked desserts are better than cold or cool ones, am I right?

Here is the recipe for those interested.

Recipe

• 2 puff pastry sheets
• 220g almond meal
• 90g whole cane sugar
• 20g corn starch
• 75g vegan butter
• 9 tbsp soy cream
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp almond extract

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 200 Celsius
• Mix dry ingredient, then wet ingredients into it together (except for puff pastry)
• Spread 1 sheet of puff pastry in a floured pie pan, or lined with a baking sheet
• Put the ingredient into the pie
• Cover it with the other puff pastry sheet
• Pierce a hole in the middle
• Decorate it as desired (we didn't have enough to do fancy lines on top like last time)
• Cook for 35m or less (we did 25m as our oven sucks)
