Kellogg's Cafe NYC- Feeding your Inner Child
Kelloggs opened a new store in Union Square, NYC. This is one cool space where you can fulfill all of your breakfast cereal dreams. When you first enter, there are lots of bright artwork painted on the wall along the stairs. The actual store is located on the second floor.
When you reach the top floor you walk into a brightly lighted room filled with pictures from cereal boxes. You feel as if you just walked into a cereal fan's house adorned with Kellogg's paraphernalia.
You have to be a cereal lover to be here. The menu is limited. The main offering is the obvious...cereal! You can create your own cereal mix along with toppings or you can order a specialty one. Most of the cereals offered are the sweet variety.
I ordered the Pistachio Lemon which is a mix of Special K, Frosted Flakes, pistachios and fresh lemon zest. The portion is huge! There is enough cereal for 3 servings. FYI, milk is not included with the order. Who eats dry cereal?
I have to say this was a pretty good bowl of cereal. I don't like sweet cereals so I asked them to put less Frosted Flakes and I still found the cereal to be quite sweet, but tasty. The pistachios and lemon zest really elevated this breakfast bowl.
Overall, I would come back. The store is spacious and it's a nice space to sit and relax. For children, they have board games and a ping pong table. If you haven't gotten enough of a cereal fix, you can purchase some Kellogg's souvenirs to take home.
