Jowar Roti and stuffed brinjal curry
This is what I had for breakfast today.
Jowar Roti and stuffed brinjal curry which is one of my favourites.
Jowar is a millet and has many health benefits. It is rich in protein and is a complex carbohydrate which raises blood sugars slowly and helps in diabetic control.
Making of jowar roti is a bit tricky and not many have the skill to make it thin and easily palatable.
Jowar flour is mixed in a small amount of hot water and then made into a paste which is then patted by hand into a circular shape. It is the patting skill that makes the difference. My mother is very good at this. Jowar roti is very famous and native to South India.
Stuffed brinjal curry is very tasty and goes very well with roti or even rice.
