Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend, the kiddo and friends (with parents in tow) made a trip to the pumpkin patch not too far from home. The excursion was a success as the weather was great; just the beginning of autumn still with lots of sunlight and not too cold. It has become sort of a tradition to go to some farm to get pumpkins for Halloween. Whole pumpkins last for weeks. It's always better to buy pumpkins early so you could get the unblemished and plump ones.

Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch grows about fifty acres of pumpkins. Besides the wide selection of pumpkins, the farm also showcases corn stalks, wreaths and other Halloween accents for sale.

The farm is so huge that the kids and parents were driven to the fields in a hay wagon. My daughter informed that kiddo had a blast and did not once complain about the heat. He always feel hot even when everyone else is cold.

I have never visited this particular farm and sure hope that I am around the next time they go. That would very likely be next year!
