GOLDEN RASPBERRIES FROM @SHALOMACRES UPDATE = ONE RIPE BERRY ALREADY!!!
Less than three months in the garden, and they are already producing!!!
Just over two months ago we were able to plant these raspberry canes in our new garden site down on our land. Now, we are already getting an ROI!
UPDATE VIDEO!
PLANT PROGRESS SO FAR!
Just over two months ago, @shalomacres traded some plants with us. In the trade, we received some Golden Raspberry plants. Amazingly, they are already producing!
Just today we harvest our first ripe berry. We hope to be able to enjoy many more, and most of the plants are doing really well so far! Just check out that juicy, yellow berry!
Out of the original fifteen, we did lose four plants, or at least it looks that way so far. Each of the plants had some roots, and @randomstuff did a great job collecting them for us, but sometimes you do lose a few. This is the least watered part of our garden, but if the other ones keep growing, we will be able to replace them soon enough.
Here's a photos from a couple months ago when @randomstuff was uprooting the plants for us. The big plant on the right is an Elderberry, but all of the ones on the left are Golden Raspberry canes. Obviously, they can spread out really quickly, so we are looking forward to that!
If you look at this one, you can see the original cane on the right growing leaves, but a new, green canes has also grown in already! Eventually this should be one long row of raspberries with many new shoots to propagate from! I can't wait to try the ripe fruit myself, since @mama-pepper got to enjoy the ripe berry we had today. Hopefully, it'll be soon enough!
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Not as big for a tree.
I was thinking about a huge tree.
Thanks for keeping me in the loop
These are more like a bush, not a tree.
Make sure you harvest them before the birds get in their. Cheers mike
That's right!
Yes @Papa-pepper . reaping is only allowed for the person that sow. no food for a lazy man...... i have always know you as a very hardworking man. keep it up sir @Papa-pepper
That's right! No food for the lazy!!! Thanks!
They look so sour and so good. I would love to grow myself. I want a bowl of those berries and some milk now. Just thinking about it makes the tummy rumbly.
You are always impress me with you determination on your grading. Nice one keep it fine. Am @yetunde
if they are like NZ Raspberries, watch out for them suckering/sending out roots for a long way, then the will grow from those roots,
left alone there will be 40 acres of raspberries before you know it.
if you can acquire some galvanised iron sheeting mark the garden edge with the sheets planted almost full width to slow them down a bit.
leave 1 - 2 inches so you can see where the edge is
GOLDEN raspberries!! Yes !!!
