Preparation:

  • Lubricate the shape with butter and grate the cheese on a fine grater so that crumbs and small pieces do not form.

  • Then distribute it on a plate, so that in the center there is more cheese mass, and on the edges less. You will get a container with a dense bottom and thin edges. Please note that the diameter of the dishes is the size of the future basket. Therefore, it is better to determine this in advance.

  • Put the plate in a microwave or a frying pan in a preheated oven and wait for the cheese to melt.

  • When you hear a characteristic crackle, it will mean that the cheese has melted to the required consistency. After this, extremely gently weave the cheese pancake with a shovel and place it on a glass or a cup.

  • The edges of the resulting mass should hang on the sides. While the cheese has not yet frozen, it is necessary to form the sides of the basket.

  • This can be done with a conventional plug or special instruments that help make a beautiful terrain.

  • Next gently cover the basket with a paper towel so that the remaining fat is absorbed. Depending on the variety, the cheese cools down on average 7-10 minutes.

  • Remove the resulting shape and put it for further solidification in the refrigerator. You can add sesame to the cheese mass, sesame, dill, any herbs and greens to taste. This will add sophistication to your snack.

How to stuff a cheese basket

When the baskets of cheese are ready, it is worth thinking about the filling. There are a lot of options. If you are a lover of seafood, then make a cocktail of mussels, shrimp and squid, sprinkling them with lemon juice. You can also make a salad of any kind of meat and tomato. Cheese fits perfectly with some fruits or nuts. For example, if you fill a cheese basket with grapes, pears and add a walnut , the guests will appreciate such a treat. Delicious stuffing will be mushrooms with fried onions and buckwheat.You can endlessly experiment. However, do not forget that the filling should not be wet. If you have extra baskets left, you can leave them in the freezer and use the next time.
