Eating in Sydney: SaltVine

in #food5 years ago

I decided to visit Sydney for a few days with my parents and booked a very nice Lebanese restaurant called SaltVine in Surry Hills. Dimmi had a 50 percent off deal and it was very worth it. The staff was friendly and explained everything very clearly. The place was nicely decorated. This is the first time for us to try Lebanese food and we were happy with all the flavors. A wonderful experience.

Fattoush
This salad was delicious. It has cos lettuce, tomato, cucumber, radish, mint, coriander, sumac, lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil & zaatar Lebanese chips. I liked the crasins that they added to it.

Chargrilled lamb shoulder
The spiced slow cooked lamb was full of flavor. The roast onion labneh went very well with it. The lamb was very tender.

Arnabeet
This was my favorite dish of the night. I liked the lemon with the fried cauliflower and the apricot golden raisin chutney added sweetness to the dish. The tahini was a good compliment as well.

Syrian String Cheese Cigar
When the dish came I thought it looked like egg rolls but it is actually string cheese wrapped in crispy pastry. The nigella seeds and tomato harissa were a good dip.
