CRUNCHY SALT AND PEPPER SHRIMP
Ingredients
- 2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups cornstarch
- 1L oil
- 10 chopped garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup sliced scallions
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
- 1/4 cup red pepper flakes
- cooked white rice, for serving
The steps
- In a large blow, place the cornstarch, then add the shrimp and mix until well-coated.
- In a large pan, heat the oil until 200C.
- Fry the garlic until golden brown. Remove the garlic, then drain it on paper towels. Set aside.
- Fry the shrimp until light golden brown then drain it on a wire rack.
- In a large pan, add red pepper flakes and ginger, toast until ginger becomes brown.
- Add shrimp then mix well with ginger and red pepper flakes.
- Add salt and pepper and mix again until well-combined./li>
- Garnish shrimp with scallions and fried garlic.
