ALSKA PUFF WITH PRUNES AND WALNUTS
Puff rolls from the English city of Eccles (Eccles cake) - a great addition to a Cup of tea. The original recipe for these rolls with raisins, but I really like the option with prunes and walnuts
You will need:
- 1 pack of puff pastry;
- prunes without seeds 150 gr;
- walnut-50 gr;
- brown sugar cane for sprinkling;
- cognac-2 tablespoons;
- 1 egg yolk;
- cinnamon-0.5 tsp.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Finely chop prunes and soak in brandy, walnuts and finely chop.
Roll out a layer of 0.5 cm and cut out a shape or a glass of a circle with a diameter of 10 cm.Put a spoon of prunes and a nut on the middle of the mug, sprinkle with cinnamon, fold the dough in half with a pie, pinch the edges, turn the connection line in the middle. A little press to get a flat bun. Egg yolk grease the top, sprinkle with brown sugar and make three oblique incisions.
Bake for 15 minutes.
