Never Miss Breakfast

Breakfast is most definitely the most important meal of the day; the clue is in its name Break Fast.

When you wake up your body has been without nutrients for a very long time, it’s also been very busy (the majority of our bodies repairs are done while we sleep, more on this in the sleep section).

If your last meal or snack was at 8pm and you get up at 6am you have gone without nutrients for 10 hours, it’s in desperate need of Energy, Proteins and Fats, if you hold off or skip breakfast entirely that time is only going to increase and your body is going to think it’s being starved (starvation response)

Breakfast should be a big if not the biggest meal of the day; it is what sets our metabolism going for the day, which as you know is tremendously important with regards to Fat Loss.

Breakfast also replaces all the nutrients you have used during the night repairing your body from the stresses and strains of your daily activity and exercise.

It also fuels us for the day ahead, if it takes you a long time to get going in the morning then missing breakfast is more than likely the main reason, I was exactly the same.

I always skipped breakfast and went for a cup of tea or coffee instead, I would only eat at around 10:30 or 11 o clock and would be sluggish and definitely not on my game until around that time.

If I could compare how I felt in the morning then to how I feel now as a breakfast eating convert I would have to say that the changes are huge and worth it completely for the tiny amount of effort it takes to prepare and eat.

Another positive for Fat Loss with regards to breakfast, eating breakfast also fills you up and prevents you from the urge to snack in between meals.
