Musou [ 無双] Japanese BBQ Restaurant @ Sydney, Australia
It's winter in Sydney and it's the time for people to be finding shelter from the cold in warm restaurants such as the Musou Japanese BBQ Restaurant. Musou is located in Sydney CBD's Pitt Street, just metres away from the Townhall Station.
Opened up not too long ago, this restaurant provides Japanese BBQ, yakiniku, bento boxes and other a-la-carte items on their menu. We visited this restaurant during lunch hour as it is far less busier than their dinner time.
Musou has a special lunch menu which is really aimed at working people working around in the area. They understand that the working people have a limited time allowed for lunch break and so they provide bento boxes and small servings of BBQ at a decent price. You can of course choose their full BBQ menu and other full-priced menu items if you like.
We ordered the Unagi (eel) bento, wagyu beef bento and additional yuke (Japanese raw beef salad) from the full menu.
Let's take a closer look at the food in the bento boxes, shall we?
For the quality of the food, the service and location of the restaurant, the price is actually reasonable in our opinion. Yes, it is slightly above what you'd usually find at other Japanese restaurants but we bet that their bentos can't be compared to the bentos here at Musou.
The food here was appetising and delicious and we can see ourselves returning to try more of the other items on their menu.
The service was also great as we were attended to and assisted by their friendly staff quite promptly. The staff here was also kind enough to ask if we have visited before and also took time to explain the menu and how to use the touch screen to place your order.
For two people dining in during lunch, you'd expect to spend about $55AUD (including drinks).
