Hua Kee Hougang Famous Wan Ton Mee is indeed one of your best bet for wanton mee over here at Old Airport Road. Having established since year 1940s, this stall is renowned in the Hougang area that is spread across three generations of work to improve the uniquely taste of this dish! I gotten myself a bowl of their signature wanton mee with an addition of sambal chilli sauce to give it an overall “kick” of extra flavour! I have personally felt that the sauce gravy was indeed remarkable as it was sweet on its own & had complemented well with the sambal chilli sauce, to create a good “kick” of spiciness!

This bowl of wanton mee would probably be one of those few which had a layer of sauce gravy that allows the noodles to be filled with adequate moisture, as compared to others which had a very minimal or almost completely dry in texture.

The wanton dumplings is very soft in texture that I could totally feel the soft meat ingredient on the inside!

On the other hand, the charsiew meat was of a deep red roasted kind which had created a good amount of sweetness with every bite!
