Food photography: Mealtime in Mexico

Mexicans put a huge emphasis on food. The traditional Mexican style of eating roots back to Spain. It depends on lifestyle around their work and daily activities. Lunch is the biggest meal in the Mexican culture. Let me share my photos of one of the typical meals in Mexico.

Everything starts with beer (cerveza), it does not matter if you like it or not;) Btw. Did you know that Mexico is one of the largest beer producers in the world?! The most popular beers in Mexico come from only two companies: Grupo Modelo (Corona, Negra Modelo) and FEMSA (Tecate, Dos Equis).

As a starter I had Pico De Gallo, salsa stuff made with tomatoes, onions, squeeze of lime juice, cilantro and jalapenos. This Mexican dish is served with tacos. It´s yummy!

And finaly main dish - Enchilada. Basicaly enchilada is a corn tortilla rolled around a filling and covered with a chili pepper sauce. It can be filled with a variety of ingredients, including various meats, cheese, beans, potatoes, vegetables...Mine was filled with poached chicken breasts and topped with queso fresco also with rice on side.
