Homecooked is always the best!
Lately I and my husband and not forgeting my girl, done a lot of eating outside due to our passions in participating in @tasteem contest. Along the way we discovered lots of restaurant, cafe and coffee shop in our town, and of course, varieties of food available. Been doing all this make us kinda lazy to cook at home which is not good at all!
So, last week we decided to cook at home at my husband's mom house. Coincidently, it was my husband belated birthday. We decided to do a steamboat or hotpot as they called in other country.
We went to Bataras's super market to buy ingredients/food for the steamboat. We bought chicken meat, beef, fresh prawns, squids, sausages, crab sticks, meat balls, fish balls, fish cakes, and lettuce.
We spent about RM200.00 (USD48.88). Quite a lot but considering that we have to feed 20++ people, its cheaper than eating outside which could goes up to RM 500++ (USD122.19).
I cleaned and chopped whatever its necessary and my husband made the soup for the seamboat.
I made my favourite dumpling/wantan too.
Mmmmh...home cooked is always the best and cheaper too!

Lama tidak makan steamboat ooo ... cam siok pula kan jarang2 makan.
Thank you @viverridae, I don't like to celebrate my own birthday actually, as it reminds me that I am getting older. But I love to celebrate others birthdays, to remind them that they are getting older. Lol.
