Chelsea Sign Kepa Arrizabalaga

Chelsea have announced the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Biblao. The blues have officially broken the world record for the most expensive goal keeper signing. Kepa has been given a contract which is worth about £71.6 million, with a period of seven years, making him the most expensive goal keeper in the world.
Chelsea announced the signing of Kepa from Athletic Bilbao hours after the club had confirmed the transfer of Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid, a deal which involved Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic coming to Chelsea on loan for a period of one year.
Athletic Bilbao had earlier on Wednesday confirmed that Kepa had paid the buyout clause from his contract of about £71.5 million.
Chelsea have come to an agreement to pay the goalkeeper about £10 million per year over the seven years of his contract. This brings the total transfer value to about £141.6 million.
Kepa has begun training with his new club and the goalkeeper will be available to take part in Chelsea's Premier League opening game, which is against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
