Pre-season came to an end for Manchester United as they played against Bayern Munich on Sunday at the Allianz Arena.
The game ended as a disappointing loss for Manchester United, as Bayern Munich defeated the Red Devils 1-0. The first half of the game ended without any side being able to find the back of the net, but Javi Martinez was able to turn in a header for Bayern Munich in the second half of the game.
Bayern Munich maintained their one goal lead against United throughout the rest of the game and claimed victory.
Manchester United haven't exactly had the best performance in the past few weeks, and their previous victory against Real Madrid was a beacon of hope that things were getting better at Old Trafford.
It is hard to see the club's performance on Sunday as encouraging, even considering the absence of some of their key players including Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard, who have been absent for the club's pre-season fixtures. Their return to the club should increase their overall performance.
The Red Devils are set to launch a domestic campaign against Leicester and the current performance of the club is leaving doubts in the hearts of supporters.
