Belgium: a nation in mourning
a nation in mourning indeed.
This would have been our one shot at a world cup. That is why they called our red devils the golden generation.
A group of players with such capacities are really rare and then to come from such a small country as Belgium makes it even rarer.
On top of that the teams were really close to eachother on a technical level. Either could have won and it was indeed a silly corner kick that decided our faith.
No matter what, our team could leave the field with their heads raised.
For me personally I now have to hope that France wins this whole thing even though they beat us. Based on the skills and the team they would be the ones that deserve the cup.
The Belgian side we're good. They really played their hearts out. But that's the game of soccer for! At least, they will get the bronze as compensation
hopefully, they still have to win third place :-)
But no one really remembers who came third, especially in football.
It has been a semi-final, but it really had to be a final... good game, great game!

It literally sucks balls when this happens. To be so close and yet miss it........... although you have to hand it to the players for the great games they have given us. Nobody can take that away
yep, the did indeed provide us with some first class entertainment
