Excited for the Re-Launch Philippines Football League

Ever since the launch of Philippines Football League as announced by Philippine Football Federation (PFF), this football league will be re-launched in lieu of the failed premise of Philippine Premier League (_{previous league}). There were a lot of issues the current football in our country is facing and the most important of this is the current situation of the football league.

As mentioned, our eyes were all set in the of the re-launch of Philippines Football League (PFL). We were tricked by the promise Philippine Premier League brought which turned out to be the worst management we ever had. There were lots of complaints made by club managers like very high participation fee, no primary league sponsor, no live Television coverage partner, and two of the seven clubs participating have no complete requirements for their license. The mismanagement leak started when two big clubs Global Makati FC and Stallion Laguna FC expressed their exclusion in the league via their statement on Facebook.

Philippine Premier League still pushed the opening night with two opening games. Football clubs Kaya Iloilo FC, Green Archers United FC, Mendiola FC, and Philippine Airforce FC participated in the opening night. It was done peacefully but very low attendance record. However, everything broke down when Ceres Negros FC joined Global and Kaya for their exclusion of the said league.

Philippine Football Federation then stepped up. This is then the re-launching of Philippines Football League was announced. We have a public group in Facebook named "Philippines Football League Fans United" where we discuss everything about football in the Philippines (including off-topic ones e.g. overseas football). Honestly, we were amazed by the way the new management (of PFL) handled media. Their graphics improved from 1 to 10 and the way their post captions look very neat and professional. But that's all, there were no follow-up statements. We're still waiting for updates from the management.

They even have this amazing "Build Your Attack" poll which made us hoped for a better one than before. If I were to select, I choose Maranon, Bedic, and Porteria. Those three are at their peak of their career and has been vital in their club's attack.

Despite of that, there are still more to be announced by PFL. Important information like Live TV coverage, scheduled matches, primary sponsors, Home and Away format, subsidiary ticket costs to clubs, and more important matters. I have learned everything since football coaches, managers, players, staffs, and die-hard football fans are members of the group page (some are even admins and moderators).

Though everything is still not clear, we are very excited for the upcoming change in the management. Seven football clubs have already cleared with their licenses. We are also pushing our efforts to reach Manny Pacquiao to plead for support with football the way he was passionate supporting the basketball league in the Philippines. I hope things will get better now as we, the fans are united to support an underrated sport "football" in our country.
