Look at the Standings

Premier League has been the most exciting league this season, for me when we talk about European football. I have been watching the news, results, and updates from end to end. It's way more different than other popular leagues in Europe as of this season. Take a look at these :

• FC Barcelona is taking the lead with a clear 11 points ahead of Atletico Madrid (currently 2nd), with them both having 31 matches played.

• Juventus is arguably the Serie A champion this season with the club leading 20 pts ahead of Napoli. Cristiano Ronaldo definitely puts fire on fuel to the team.

• Bayern Munich has officially overtaken Borussia Dortmund, leading a point ( Bayern 64 - 63 Dortmund with both of them having 28 matches played. It may also be entertaining, but the Premier League has been the most exciting for a lot of reasons!

Liverpool and Manchester City are on the race.

With more or less 5 games remaining, a single loss/mistake can cost any of the two to slip the title. If Manchester City wins their next match (which will make the no. of games played for both teams even), City will lead 1 point ahead of Liverpool ( City 83 vs 82 Liverpool)

Manchester City is also ahead of Goal difference ( City 62 - 55 Liv). Goal difference (GD) will be very crucial when both teams equal in no. of points when all of the matches are played.

The teams are also on their hunger for the title as both of them won their last 4 games. The next 5 games will be crucial to determine who gets the championship. Note that Manchester City are the defending champions. The Pep Guardiola led team is very much popular with his Tiki-taka, a strategy that made Barcelona won different titles.

I'm excited to see what will happen on both teams next matches. We'll see what happens in their next fixtures.

The battle of Top 4 is very Tight

Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, and Manchester United are on a very tight race, very tight. As both of them are looking to close out the season with a top four finish. The two are already filled by City and Liverpool, only two of these four teams are needed to complete the top 4.

Note that the top four teams at the end of the seasons get a direct qualification for the next year's UEFA Champions League group stage - an annual football competition of top-division European clubs. (Trivia : The last 3 Champions League were won by Real Madrid).

The 5th team at the end of the season gets a direct qualification of UEFA Europa League - *an annual football competition by European football clubs ranking below the UEFA Champions League. Their remaining games will be very crucial as we think. These teams are very close to points (and goal difference).
