David De Gea Wins Gold Glove Award
David De Gea won his first Gold Glove in the Premier League.
Goalkeeper Manchester United's David De Gea was awarded the Golden Glove after the 0-0 draw against West Ham United in London.
With the draw, De Gea successfully recorded 18 clean sheets or not conceded in 37 Premier League matches this season.
It was the first time the Spanish goalkeeper had won the Golden Glove since joining Manchester United in 2011.
"It feels good, it's my first Gold Glove, I'm very happy for it, it means we are doing well in this season, I'm happy with my performance as well as the team," De Gea said as quoted from the club's official website.

With the Premier League leaving only one game, De Gea is considered the winner of Gold Glove 2017/2018. The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper put aside Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, who has 16 clean sheet and Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with 15 clean sheets .
Despite winning individual awards for the goalkeeper category, De Gea continues to rate them thanks to the help of his teammate. Therefore, the 27-year-old goalkeeper is dedicating the recently awarded Gold Glove to the Man United squad.
"It's for everyone, it's a reward for the team, not just for the goalkeeper, it's good for me but I'm also happy with the team," De Gea said.
Before grabbing the Gold Glove, De Gea was first named Man United Player of the Year with this season's Si Matt Busby Player trophy for the fourth time.

In line with the player, Man United manager Jose Mourinho also rate the Gold Glove trophy not just for the goalkeeper.
"David is amazing, but Gold Gloves is about the team and not about someone analyzing the goalkeeper, as well as deciding it is the best goalkeeper of the English League," Mourinho said.
"It's about not conceding and they are about the team, of course we are all happy for David and that is a great achievement for the team," Mourinho added.
