Severe Injury, Koscielny Absent at World Cup 2018
Laurent Koscielny was seriously injured and only returned in December 2018.
France defender Laurent Koscielny has been sidelined for the 2018 World Cup after a severe injury which has caused him to rest until the end of the year. Koscielny, the Arsenal captain, suffered an injury to the Europa League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano last week.
Koscielny bowed his head in pain and ended up lying on the ground holding his feet. After that he had to be taken off the pitch and could not continue the match.
Because of having to undergo surgery on achilles , then Koscielny should rest for six months.

"Koscielny is of course very sad because he has to undergo surgery, which means he has to be absent for six months."
"You will not be able to see him at least until early December," Wenger said as quoted from the Mirror .

Koscielny has been a major choice in the French national team even served as captain of the French national team. Koscielny has collected 51 appearances with 'Les Bleus' with a record of one goal.
Koscielny became part of the French national team at the 2012 and 2016 European Championships, as well as the 2014 World Cup.
THis is terrible news for the Arsenal losing a key player like that in teh semis probably cost us the game too, Kosch would have been a better match for costa. But 6 months out means he'll miss at least 3 months of the start of the new managers season, not getting off on the right foot, we going to have to dip into the market
As for france theres plenty of coverage at the back so i dont think they'll miss him too much come World Cup
I agree with you, big problem is in arsenal.
In the world cup there will be many who can be in his position.
