The 2017-2018 Champions League was the 63rd version of this tournament, and the 26th season where the name of the tournament was changed from “European Cup” to “UEFA Champions League”. It was held between 12 September 2017 and 26 May 2018.

32 clubs competed in the tournament. 125 matches were played with 401 goals scored. An average of 3.21 goals per match.

Four clubs were able to qualify to the semi-finals; Liverpool, Real Madrid, Roma and Bayern Munich. One team from each continent of the top four European Leagues.

The final game of the tournament was held in NSC Olimpiskiy Stadium in Kiev in 26 May 2018 between Real Madrid and Liverpool. The final score ended with a score of 3-1. Real Madrid was able to win their 13th European title.

“Cristiano Ronaldo” from Real Madrid was named top goalscorer of the tournament, scoring 15 goals in 1170 minutes played in the 2017-2018 UEFA Champions League.

On the other hand, “James Milner” from Liverpool were named top assister of the tournament with 9 assists in 874 minutes played in the 2016-2017 UEFA Champions League.
