Sports Stories that inspire: Vince Papale

in #football5 years ago (edited)

Dreams do come true, if you work hard and never surrender, if you want it as bad as breathing, it will happen for you.

But when the challenge is raised to high end professional level, the dream seems impossible, but not for Vince Papale.

My name is Nerio Parra, welcome to my blog.

Invincible

That's how you feel when you are a 30 a year-old substitute teacher and part-time bartender who did not play college football and then get into the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL!

Vince was the fastest kid at Interboro High School (Philadelphia) and in 1976 the opportunity of his life would come. He earned a meeting that year with head coach Dick Vermeil of the Philadelphia Eagles to a private workout and due to his performance.

He made it to the team from 1976 through 1978. He played in 41 of 44 regular-season games. He was voted Special Teams Captain and "Man of the Year" by his teammates.

His story deserved a movie

What do you think? Would you follow your dreams even if they seem impossible?

Thanks for reading
