English Premier League Gameweek 5- Preview And Fixtures

Hello everyone, the English premier league is back after the International break that ended this week. All the players have returned back to their clubs with all attention now back to the domestic leagues around Europe. There will be seven matches to be played in the English top flight league today with the remaining three coming tomorrow and Monday.

The lunchtime fixture today is between Tottenham and league leaders Liverpool at Wembley stadium. Liverpool have four wins from four games and have conceded just one goal in the process. While Tottenham slumped to their first defeat last two weekends against Watford. Harry Kane is not back to where he stopped last season as he has just two goals in four games in the premier league this season after his heroics that gave him the golden boot at the world cup this year. Liverpool are enjoying a new start to their premier league season, both Salah and Mane have continued from where they left last season after interesting displays in the opening games this season. New goalie Allison Becker, is enjoying his new club but will have to be careful with his distribution after his howler led to a goal against Leicester City.

Chelsea welcome struggling Cardiff City to Stamford bridge later in the day. The blues are up to a flying start under new manager Maurizio Sari with four wins from four games, even against Arsenal. Cardiff on the other hand are yet to register a point in the premier league this season after they gained promotion from the championship this season. Cardiff City also registered their first goal of the season against Arsenal last two weekends. Chelsea are known for their possession game, a philosophy which Maurizio Sari has implemented in his squad. Should Maurizio Sari win this game and his next, he'll be among the six managers to win their opening six fixtures, and should he go on to win Liverpool after that, he'll be standing alone as the only manager in England to win his first seven matches in a row.

Manchester City welcome newly promoted Fulham to the Etihad stadium. Defending champions Manchester City have ten points from four games after their shock draw against Wolves. Fulham are slowly recovering and gaining confidence in the league and will have something to prove against the Citizens as Wolverhampton did.

Arsenal travel to St. James park to take on Newcastle United. Arsenal aren't where they are supposed to be yet in the Premier league. With two wins from four games, and even against Cardiff they almost dropped a point. The gunners are seeing a whole different kind of football from their new coach Unai Emery. Newcastle on the other have just one point from their opening four games, and have suffered defeats against big clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea, so this game should be an easy ride for the gunners.

Watford welcome Manchester United to Vicarage Road stadium later in the evening. Watford are one of the three teams to still maintain their 100% record in the premier league this season, along with Chelsea and Liverpool. Watford defeated Tottenham before the International break to move to 3rd position behind Liverpool and Chelsea. Manchester United are draining in confidence, and Jose Mourinho is slowly losing his dressing room. The Red Devils have two wins from two games, and aren't favorites going into this game cause of the sort of form their opponent possess.
