World Cup Semi-finals Preview- France VS Belgium
The first fixture of the semi finals of the 2018 world cup tournament is between France and Belgium at the Saint Petersburg Stadium tomorrow. Belgium defeated the tournament's favorite Brazil in the quarter-finals last week to book a place in the semi-finals against France. France on the other hand defeated Uruguay to make it to the semi-finals of the tournament.
Belgium are favorites going into this fixture. The likes of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne are in hot form and can cause havoc in any defense. This is Belgium's second appearance in the World Cup semi-finals, losing to eventual winners Argentina in 1986. While they are equally unbeaten in their last 24 matches in all competitions, winning 19 and drawing 5.
Kylian Mbappe of France(3) is the highest scoring teenager in a world cup tournament since Brazil's pele scored 6 in 1958. Mbappe equally scored twice when Argentina was eliminated and will be looking to continue his form against Belgium when they meet tomorrow. The likes of Paul Pogba and N'golo Kante will continue their awesome performance in the midfield against Witsel and De Bruyne.
Either Mbappe or Eden Hazard will replace Juventus bound Ronaldo. Ronaldo is set to sign a four years contract at Juventus, and Real madrid are already in the market for his replacement.
