The incident occurred in the first half of the 2-0 victory of the Gunners after Koulibaly cleared a corner kick played in by Lucas Torreira.

Arsenal have released a statement utterly condemning the act and that investigations have commenced.

They went further to state that they do not tolerate such and when the culprits are found, they would be banned as such people are not welcomed at the Emirates.

This comes on the same night when a video appeared on social media, showing some Chelsea fans abusing Mohammed Salah literally chanting, "Salah is a bomber".

Chelsea have also opened investigation into this, with three of the six people already identified and barred from the game against Slavia Prague.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea won the first leg of their quarterfinal games. While Arsenal won 2-0 at home, with goals from Aaron Ramsey and a deflected Lucas Torreira shot, Chelsea had to wait till the 88th minute for a Marcos Alonso header to give them a vital away victory going into the second leg.
