Arsenal have received a major boss from their injury bed as six first team players returned to training ahead of their London Derby against West Ham on Saturday.

Mesut Ozil (knee), Nacho Monreal (hamstring), Hector Bellerin (Calf), Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Laurent Koscielny (Back Spasm) and Dinos Mavropanos (groin) all returned to training for the Gunners.

Ozil has not featured for the side since the Boxing day 1-1 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion after been substituted at half time due to a knee injury. He subsequently missed three games.

Koscielny pulled out of the warmup session before the FA Cup tie away at Blackpool which Arsenal won 3-0 courtesy of goals from Joe Willock (2) and Alex Iwobi.

The return comes as a timely boost with Arsenal facing back-to-back London derbies.

Unai Emery's side will take on Chelsea the following weekend after playing West Ham and the return of the defenders will give the Spanish tactician plenty of options, having suffered greatly at the back in recent weeks.

Danny Welbeck is still a long term absentee with Henrikh Mhkitaryan set to return to action in February following a foot injury.

The Gunners are currently fifth on the log, three points behind Chelsea in fourth place.
