De Rossi Joins The League, Says Bye To Roma

AS Roma have announced that club captain, Daniele De Rossi would be hanging his boots at the end of the season.

The former Italy International will be stepping out for the last time in a Roma shirt on May 26 when the Giallarosi take on Parma.

This would bring an end to De Rossi's 16-year career at the capital.

The 35-year old is only second to former captain, Francesco Totti as the player with highest number of appearance for Roma, having already made 651 appearances.

The Rossi who won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 said he loves the club and he would always be a part of it, either on or off the field.

He further said he doesn't think he's ready for a Director role yet and would rather go into coaching first.
