Edu Is Arsenal's New Technical Director

Premier League side, Arsenal have confirmed that former player and Brazilian international, Edu is set to return to the club as Technical Director following the conclusion of the Copa America.

The midfielder spent four-and-a -half-years at Highbury, winning two Premier League titles and two FA Cups. He has in several months been linked with a return to North London.

Since 2016, Edu has served as General Coordinator of the Brazil national team and came to the end of his tenure there, following Brazil's triumph at the 2019 Copa America which they hosted and won, for the first time in 12 years.

Arsenal confirmed that Edu, who played under current Arsenal manager during his stint at Valencia will travel to the United States with the squad as the pre-season gets underway on Thursday.

The 41-year old was a part of the 2003/2004 Arsenal invincibles that won the league without losing a match in 49 games, the highest ever unbeaten run in the league. He also featured 22 times for Brazil.
