The Egyptian was on hand to tap in from close range after being picked out by Robertson from the left flank.

West Ham have new goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski to thank for denying Salah three times afterwards to keep the scoreline at just a goal.

Just before the halftime break, Liverpool increased their lead through Sadio Mane and the Senegalese was on hand to slot home the third early in the second half although replays show he was a yard offside.

Jurgen Klopp knowing the game was decided substituted his fantastic three, Salah, Mane and Firmino.

Daniel Sturridge who replaced the last man of the trio, Mane made it four for Liverpool in the 88th minute with his first touch of the game from a corner kick. The English man just returning from his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion.

Klopp handed new West Ham Manager, Manuel Pellegrini, who started five debutants in Lukasz Fabianski, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredricks, Fabian Balbuena and Felipe Anderson, his first defeat in his first game in charge of West Ham.
