Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho could still be facing a potential Touchline ban which he thought he had escaped.

The FA are appealing the verdict of the Independent Regulatory Commission which found the allegation against the United manager unproven.

Mourinho was caught swearing into the camera as he made his way down the tunnel following a 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle.

A lip reader and translator of colloquial Portugal language, Pedro Xavier was brought in to interpret what the Portuguese said and his translation of the wordings meant "Sons of whore". Mourinho said these words twice.

According to the interpreter, that line is used when someone is angry (in Portuguese) however, it is deemed unprofessional in the game.

Xavier further argued that the words would mean nothing to an average Portuguese as the word could be translated idiomatically I'm English to mean "Hell yeah" which Portuguese normally use while celebrating.

So, in the context in which Mourinho used it, he may be innocent of the charge after all but it waits to be seen if the appeal of the FA would be considered.
