The record was previously held by current Liverpool Striker, Roberto Firmino, who scored seven goals for the club in 2012 as he went ahead to score a total of 49 goals in his time in Germany before the move to Anfield.

Nelson reached this mark, at 19 years, 125 days, in just 19 games, 225 days lesser than Firmino did his.

The England teenager scored the second of his team's two goals as they defeated Hertha Berlin in the league and lie 6th placed on the log as they look forward to playing in the Europa League next season.

The 19-year old who is on loan from Arsenal also ended an 11-game scoreless streak, having scored last against Augsburg in November 2018.

He was briefly frozen out of the first team for some time after he appeared 20 minutes late for a training session but he seems to have picked himself up afterwards.

Current coach, Julian Nagelsmann would be leaving Hoffenheim at the close season, after agreeing a deal to take over the role at RB Liepzig.
