Spurs were the only team in the league not to have been involved in the transfer market with no single player coming into the club.

They however got star striker, Harry Kane to sign a new long term contract in what was the only business done by the North London side during the window.

Pochettino has however come out to say that his squad is balanced and raring to go, insisting no new player was needed.

He however went further to state that building a new stadium costs 30 percent more due to the Brexit and that the cost is close to about £1bn rather than the £400m being publicised which made it even more difficult to make signings.

Although Spurs were heavily linked with Aston Villa's Jack Grealish and reports claim they had a last minute bid for the midfielder rejected.

Tottenham opened their Premier League campaign with a visit to Rafael Benitez's Newcastle on Saturday.
