Transfer Gist: Borussia Dortmund Sign Achraf Hakimi On Loan From Real Madrid
Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of young Real Madrid defender, Achraf Hakimi on a two-year loan deal until 2020. This comes on the same day winger, Andriy Yarmalenko leaves for West Ham.
The Moroccan International has been at the ranks at Real Madrid since 2006 but made his breakthrough last season under Zinedine Zidane.
He made a total of 17 appearances with nine of those coming in La Liga complemented with two goals. He also played in the both legs against Tottenham in the group stage of the Champions League.
The 19-year old was also named in the Moroccan side to the World Cup and played in all three group matches as the Atlas Lions were eliminated from group B where they faced Spain, Portugal and Iran.
Hakimi will continue his development with German side and will link up with his new teammates in the United States where they are set to get their pre-season preparations underway.
