Transfer Gist: Chelsea Sign Jorginho From Napoli for £57 Million

Chelsea have completed the signing of Italian midfielder, Jorginho from Italian side, Napoli on a five-year contract in a deal worth £57 million.

The Blues will pay Napoli an initial £50 million but the money could rise up to £57 million with add-ons.

Jorginho who was reportedly close to finalising a move to Premier League champions, Manchester City will join up with his former boss from Napoli, Maurizzio Sarri.

The 26-year old who made over 100 appearances for Napoli since join in 2014 and has been capped eight times by Italy will wear the Number 5 jersey.

This news comes few hours after Chelsea announce that Sarri will be taking over the mantle from Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

The former Napoli boss has put pen to paper on a three-year deal that will run into the summer of 2021.
