Transfer Gist: Liverpool Sign Shaqiri From Stoke City For £13 Million

Liverpool have competed the signing of Switzerland international, Xhedan Shaqiri from Relegated side, Stoke City for a fee within the region of £13 million.

Shaqiri scored eight goals for the Potters last season but those were not enough to help them avoid relegation as they went down to the Sky Bet Championship after ten years in the top flight.

The 26-year old was one of the brightest prospects of Switzerland at the World Cup where he helped them reach the knockout stage before being eliminated by Sweden.

Shaqiri becomes Liverpool's third summer signing, following the arrival of Naby Keita from Liepzig and Fabinho from AS Monaco.

He will join up with Jurgen Klopp's men as they prepare for their pre-season games where the Reds will face Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Manchester City in the International Champions Competition
