TRANSFERS: Zidane Joins Racing
Son of Real Madrid great and coach, Luca Zidane has been allowed by Real Madrid to join Racing Santander on loan for the 2019/2020 season.
Luca kept nine sheets for the Castilla last season in 30 appearances between the sticks. while also playing from starting in the 3-2 win over SD Huesca in La Liga for the senior side in March.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper continues his development away from the watch of his father as he joins newly-promoted Segunda side, Racing Santander on a season-long loan.
Real Madrid are currently not short of personnel in the goalkeeping department with former Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois the first choice and even Keylor Navas look to be nearing a permanent move away fro the former Liga champions.
Ukraine U20 goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin could, therefore, be promoted to the first team as a backup to Courtois, after winning the U20 World cup with Ukrain in June.
