SPORT THIS HOURS: NOMINEE LIST FOR BALLON D'OR RELEASED

in #football6 years ago
  • Good day buddies, welcome to another episode of sport update, i remain your host @tfame3865. We still have controversies over the penalty kick that was given to Mahrez which he lost Against Liverpool f.c. It was really painful seeing him threw away such a much needed chance. I was really in concern over such decision.

  • To me, Silva or Jesus Navas should have been given the chance, was really surprised Mahrez rose to that challenge. I was wondering and was confident he will lost it. Allison Berker really did a good job by making sure he got that ball fully covered. Even though he didn't save the ball, his covering and movement does it all as Mahrez had no choice than to fires the ball wide.

  • So according to source last night, it seems some of the Manchester city fans are still angry with the decision Pep Guardola made by choosing Mahrez on that day.

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus said he was not happy with Pep Guardiola's decision not to allow him to take the late penalty against Premier League rivals Liverpool. City manager Guardiola prevented Jesus from taking the 86th-minute spot-kick, instead opting for club-record signing Riyad Mahrez. The lad said, Obviously I'm not that happy," he told reporters. "As Riyad, I've been practicing [penalties]. I would like to have taken it. I was confident, so I was not happy that they did not allow me. However, it was important that we didn't lose. Pep spoke with me. This is part of football, sometimes these things happen. I will support Riyad if the manager chooses him again.

Well so happy he has grown over it and that was a well shown opportunity for Man city to have gotten their first win since 12 years now.

  • Another big issue just hit me down here. The concern for Real Madrid as Benzema injury will allow him miss the Clasico ahead. It is such a great issue for Real Madrid as the striker absent will surely be missed.

According to source, Karim Benzema is facing a fitness battle for Real Madrid's first Clasico of the season against Barcelona after Los Blancos confirmed the striker has injured his right hamstring. No timescale has been put on a return for Benzema, but early reports suggest he will be absent for two weeks. The clasico will took place on the 28th of October, 2018 and with that, it will be a little chance for him to prepare for the big game ahead. So painful he will be missing out, who will now stand on place for such big game. This is a big concern for the Real Madrid supporters and the entire Real Madrid team.
