Manuel Neuer extends his personal anti-record after conceding 8th goal against Freiburg
German giants Bayern Munich still looking for a ways to drag themselves out of the crisis they are in since the start of the 2018/19 Bundesliga season. A number of core players can be blamed for being obviously unconvincing on the pitch and team’s No. 1 is the first of them.
Indeed, Bayern Munich and Germany captain Manuel Neuer, who was reasonably claimed the world’s best goalkeeper in mid 10’s, cannot boast of his recent form. 32-year-old’s statistics this season is somewhat shocking – the keeper conceded 8 goals after 8 shots-on-target made by opposition.
- In April Neuer suffered a broken foot in the Champions League clash against Real Madrid, the recovery took 4 months
- Germany manager Joachim Low decided to keep Manuel among the national team’s starting 11 he conceded 4 goal from the 14 shots
