Raheem Sterling to become the highest-ever paid English footballer
Manchester City and England dribbler Raheem Sterling has reportedly agreed to sign the improved long-term deal with Citizens.
According to Sky Sports, backed by several other sources, 23-year-old has ‘verbally agreed’ oa a five-year contract extension with initial fee of £300,000 a week. If the the deal will be officially confirmed. Sterling may become a highest paid English player in entire football history.
Forward’s current deal with Man City expires in summer 2020 so no big surprise that the club’s intended to keep their young star by offering a truly irresistible deal. If the reports are correct, Sterling will become this first Englishman to surpass the £100 million mark in career earnings. Insane.
